Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are designed to provide you with information about how you can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by making your home as energy efficient as possible. EPCs remain valid for 10 years and are applicable for anyone buying, selling or renting a property.
From April 1st 2012, your property will need to have an EPC at grade D or above in order to receive the full feed-in tariff of 16p per KW of energy produced by your system.
Firstly we would like to say that you shouldn’t let energy efficiency requirements put you off. The government have already estimated that around half of the UK properties meet the requirement of grade D or above. If your property isn’t one of them, it may be a simple as adding some loft insulation to meet that goal.
We will talk you through the procedure of having an EPC on your home and it is all part of the service if you decide to install with us.
